Livin’ Here in Toy Town

September 30, 2009

Very shortly, I’ll be talking a lot about my Twitter Music Video Project for the awesome MAE Band. For the moment, I’m doing some research and found this great tutorial on how to create a shift-tilt lens effect without all the expensive equipment. The video is sort of a fable, so I think this may [...]

Come to Tina

September 20, 2009

Here’s a nearly perfect music video. Ike & Tina Turner cover The Beatles “Come Together”, ripping the song a new one. The chroma key work in this 1971 video is amazing; you may not notice it a first, but the background is Ike & the band being shot on a separate stage. You don’t need [...]

I’m tempted to make some pronouncement about The New Sincerity out of this, but [...]

June 8, 2009

Former Army Captain Charles Pietrangelo’s suit claiming that his dismissal from the Armed Forces because of its Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell policy was rejected by the U.S. Supreme Court, which offered no explanation for its decision, but a brief filed by the Obama administration argued that Court ought not to hear the case.

Big Gay Ice Cream Truck is the New Twitter

June 8, 2009

I scream, you scream, the Internet is screaming for the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck. With the sort of breathless anticipation usually reserved for Harry Potter movies, the latest trend to sweep the Internet’s is one self-described “middle-aged white man’s” dream of serving the masses of New York City bacon flavored ice cream, with a [...]
